A very old design perfect for modern homes. Squish some butter into the "bell" shape, pour about a centimetre of water into the base, invert the bell into the base. The water forms an air lock, stopping your butter from spoiling. Keep it on the bench or in the cupboard and have perfectly spreadable butter all year round.
Change the water every day or so and enjoy your lovely pure butter without the additives needed to make it spreadable.
This particular butter keeper is 9.5cm wide and 7cm tall.
